Weather, weather, and more weather...

No battery post today... but please spare a thought for all the innocent animals: wild animals, pets, and farm livestock... who are suffering these dreadful weather conditions.

Batteries won't survive well in the hot weather... but, please remember you will need to keep them DRY too. Not easy in the prevailing conditions in quite a few countries at present!

What with monsoons in India, floods in the UK, fires in Greece, and famine in Zimbabwe... there have been a great deal of 'natural disasters' for animals to suffer in recent months.

Click Here for more details on the following topics...

"Have you ever wondered how wild animals fare during floods? Our team in India found out following torrential monsoon rains in India. HSI India and the Animal Help Foundation are in the field rescuing wildlife and educating people about how we can help our wild neighbors in times of need.

With little food available and thousands of people leaving the country every day, the animals of Zimbabwe are finding themselves in dire straits. HSI is working with local and national groups to ensure pets, farm animals and wild animals are safe and cared for."

The items above are quotes from the HSI newsletter... if you Click this link you can find out about this, and other work undertaken on behalf of animals worldwide.

HEAT and Batteries

You wouldn't dream of leaving your pet in the car in warm or hot weather. Or, if you need proof, just sit in a car on a hot day with the windows just down slightly... and see how long you can stand it without opening the door!

Batteries suffer too from the heat! So, never leave your mobile phone, or other battery powered devices, in your car in the hot weather... or it could die too!

If you need new batteries there are links in the right-hand margin to what I believe are the best suppliers available - when you take all things into consideration, like availability, choice, speed of delivery, plus price - or just use the convenient links below:---

UK Battery Supplier... my favourite

At MDS Battery you will find batteries for every use you can think of. Their service is fast and efficient... I have been most impressed whenever I've used their services. The batteries last well too - some batteries which I obtained from other sources didn't last anywhere near as long.

Just a few of the types of batteries you'll find are those for... digital cameras, watches and clocks, motorcycles, camcorders, laptops and notebooks, and also torches - to name but a few!

And if you can't find what you are searching for, just scroll to the bottom of the page where you can use the Power Search facility.

To visit this premier store, just click the link above or use the link in our right-hand margin.

Digital Switchover in UK

For your information... UK... the switchover to digital will take place between 2008 and 2013, and will be ITV region by ITV region.

Do you know which TV region you are in? Check by seeing which ITV news service you receive. Alternatively, use Teletext page 106.

The switchover years are detailed below:

Border... 2008 - 2009
West Country, Granada... 2009
Wales... 2009 - 2010
West, STV North... 2010
STV Central... 2010 - 2011
Central, Yorkshire, Anglia... 2011
Meridian, London... 2012
TyneTees, Ulster... 2012
Channel Islands... 2013

If it all goes as smoothly, and with the inadequate amount of assistance, as it did in the trial area... God Help Us!

Did you notice that London wasn't assigned to go digital till 2012? I wonder why! And why [to my untrained eyes] are the least populated areas being subjected to the upheaval first?

Please don't get cynical!

Free, AND fascinating

If you are, in any way, engaged in trying to make a few extra dollars or pounds on the internet, then this website is amazingly helpful... with free information which exceeds in quality most of the 'paid for' reports which are hyped around the internet.

Just click the following link to... 'The Tricks Behind Clickbank and Adwords'. Don't worry if that is not your area of interest - there are so many more free and fascinating articles available once you join... AND JOINING IS FREE!

Click the Affiliate KB link now to check out what is on offer!

The article is by Steven Holdaway, and the following is a snippet from it... "Steven Holdaway might be one of the web's top experts on using Adwords to promote affiliate programs. What are his qualifications? Well, in January of this year he managed to pull in $158,237.40 from just one Clickbank account using Adwords. And that's just an ordinary month."

Further promotional snippet... "For those of us who have tried to use Adwords to promote affiliate products, however, the process can be maddening...This article is based off of my conversation with Steven. If you have never bought a guide on how to use Adwords to promote Clickbank products, then this will hopefully be a good introduction on the topic. If you have bought an Adwords guide, then hopefully this article will clarify what you have already learned, and fill in those missing pieces that you need to finally see your Clickbank account explode with commissions."
