'How To'..... Make your iPod batteries last L O N G E R

Make your iPod batteries last longer by using the following tips...

Always press the Play/Pause button to pause/stop playback. Never just turn off your home/cars stereo, or just remove your headphones. You must ALSO pause playback... because otherwise your iPod will continue playing until your playlist or album ends.

Press the Play/Pause button, then playback is paused, and its power-save function will then turn off the iPod after a couple of minutes inactivity.

So, always remember to press and hold the Pause/Play button to turn off your iPod when you’re not using it. You'll be amazed at how much longer your batteries will last if you follow this advice!

Another useful tip is... if you don’t need it, [and, do you really?] turn off the backlighting.

Loads more tips on making your batteries last longer can be found in an excellent Dummies book... just click our 'BOOKS' link in the right-hand margin. The book is just called iPod & iTunes For Dummies.
