Now for the tips from this special supplier... People often ask if it is normal for batteries to get warm when charging - their helpful reply is included below:-

They say that yes, it is normal for NiCD or NiMH rechargeable batteries. These batteries do increase in temperature substantially due to internal resistance. The batteries may feel warm or hot when the charge is completed. According to specification, most NiMH batteries may heat up to 131 deg F or 55 deg C during a rapid charge.

They also recommend that you allow your batteries a few minutes to cool down before using them.

Another extremely helpful tip is that you... leave the dust cover lid open when you are charging your batteries to help dissipate the heat.
